Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, Oregon, is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide direct and individualized care for adult patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will assess conditions, administer medications, monitor vitals, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

This full-time role requires Oregon RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification; CMSRN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN and/or MSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Oregon; BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• CMSRN preferred.
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Assess patient conditions and administer medications; monitor vital signs.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Initiate computerized Plan of Care on admission and perform general nursing duties under supervision.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
