Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN). In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with hospital standards and nursing best practices
  • Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in clinical status
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
  • Develop and initiate individualized computerized Plans of Care upon admission
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Deliver culturally competent care that supports each patient’s physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
  • Support patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong communication with patients, families, and care team members
  • Assist in other departments when needed and qualified to ensure continuity of patient care
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Licensure & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Preferred: Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN); Previous Medical Surgical nursing experience

  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours
