Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care is seeking an Interventional Registered Nurse (RN) for its Interventional Radiology team in Hermiston, Oregon. This full-time role offers a day shift with three ten-hour shifts (7:00am-5:30pm) and required call coverage.

Responsibilities include pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for minimally invasive procedures, collaboration with physicians, patient advocacy, and EMR documentation. Eligible for up to $20,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Active Oregon RN license with current BLS, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
• Preferred: BSN and specialty certifications (e.g., RCIS, CRN, CV-BC, CAPA or CPAN).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure nursing assessments and verify patient identity, procedure, NPO status, medication reconciliation and consent.
• Initiate IV access and prepare patients for procedures.
• Coordinate nursing care in the procedure room and assist with vascular access and monitoring setup.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and document medications and events in the EMR.
• Provide post-procedure assessments and educate patients and caregivers on recovery and activity restrictions.
