Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse on a Medical-Surgical unit (R4) with a $10,000 sign-on for external applicants and a 1-year to 3-year commitment. You will care for adult medical-surgical patients with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio and operate with EMR, IVs, wound vacs, telemetry, and tube feeding pumps.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork to support safe, high-quality patient care, including documentation and coordinated care planning.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - IL IDFPR licensure.
• BLS within 30 days; ACLS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment and develops an appropriate plan of care.
• Documents nursing care accurately for integration into the healthcare team.
• Delivers medications using the 5 Rights; ensures safety and correct dosing.
• Maintains patient safety with fall precautions, isolation, and mobility support.
• Communicates with the care team to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes.
