Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse on a Medical-Surgical unit on a full-time basis. The role requires an RN with Illinois licensure, BLS, ACLS within a year, and a Nursing diploma. The unit emphasizes safe, high-quality patient care and strong teamwork.

The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and maintain thorough documentation in the EMR. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants, with a competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

RN with Illinois license and BLS within 30 days required.
ACLS within 1 year preferred for unit coverage.
Nursing diploma or higher required.

Responsibilities

Perform initial assessment and develop care plan per unit standards.
Document nursing care accurately for continuity of care.
Administer medications following the 5 Rights and safety protocols.
Maintain patient safety and call bell responsiveness; ensure timely care.
Communicate clearly with the healthcare team to coordinate patient status and discharge planning.
