CommonSpirit Health's Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, California, invites a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver holistic, effective care from admission to discharge within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will perform skilled assessments, implement patient care plans, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and prioritize individualized care while keeping patient safety and confidentiality at the forefront of every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Active California RN license
  • BLS CPR certification (American Heart Association)
  • Preferred acute care experience

Responsibilities

  • Collects patient data based on diagnosis, age and/or developmental age. Analyzes data collected.
  • Plans and prioritizes individualized care based on the assessment, utilizing nursing diagnosis, including teaching and discharge needs of the patient and family, and sets outcome goals in coordination with other disciplines.
  • Ensures that the patient/family participates in the plan of care as able, and that plan of care addresses age-specific and cultural needs.
  • Implements appropriate standards based on assessment.
  • Prioritizes and organizes care within the allotted time frames.
  • Coordinates discharge steps or ensures appropriate referral to address timely, appropriate discharge needs.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), you will help individuals and families receive holistic, effective, and appropriate care so they can experience safe and confidential care from admission to discharge.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support - CPR from the American Heart Association
Preferred
  • Acute care experience
