Patient Ratio: 6 : 1

Unit staffing description- Unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCT s day & night, Nursing Supervisor, Hospitalists

Type of equipment: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Client Telemetry and Rover s

Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version

Medications: WOW for all nurses, PyxisES dispensing system

Scheduling requirements: equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/4-week schedule)

Floating policy: other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical w oncology. We rotate unless skill mix is needed.

Patient Experience requirements: Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5P s checked. Reporting to PCT s of known needs at beginning and during shifts, Check glass board for dept focus areas, Scrolling video kiosk available as well as email for update references.
