Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Saint John Hospital - Leavenworth, KS is seeking Medical‑Surgical LPNs for part-time night shifts (12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am). The role supports patients with a wide spectrum of medical needs in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital setting.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, wound care, discharge planning, and coordination with RNs and physicians while maintaining infection control and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license must be held.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• IV certification upon hire (state-specific).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including hygiene support, mobility assistance, and comfort measures.
• Monitor vital signs, document observations, and report any changes in the patient''s condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed and observe for reactions or side effects.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and assist with procedures within the state LPN scope of practice.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to support individualized care plans.
• Assist with discharge planning and provide patient/family education on treatments and recovery.
• Follow infection control practices and maintain accurate patient records.
