Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS seeks a Behavioral Health LPN for night shifts (7:00 pm to 7:00 am) in an inpatient unit. This part-time role emphasizes compassionate, hands-on care, medication administration, patient monitoring, and teamwork with RNs and the care team.

You will support safety, stabilization, and recovery through observation, crisis intervention, and thorough documentation, helping patients heal in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as an LVN or LPT.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.
• IV certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute mental and behavioral health needs in an inpatient setting.
• Observe, monitor, and document patient behavior, mental status, and safety risks.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor side effects.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation to promote unit safety.
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers, including patient education.
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per policy and regulations

Employment Type: Part-time

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

Location: Saint John Hospital – Leavenworth, KS
