Job summary

Saint John Hospital is seeking a Medical-Surgical LPN for day shifts in Leavenworth, KS. You will provide hands-on patient care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and support post-operative recovery in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and observe for reactions.
• Perform wound care and dressing changes within LPN scope.
• Collaborate with RNs and physicians to support individualized care plans.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education on treatments.

Hours: 12-hour shifts - 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

• Provide direct patient care, including hygiene support, mobility assistance, and comfort measures.
• Monitor vital signs, document observations, and report any changes in the patient's condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed and observe for reactions or side effects.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and assist with procedures within the state LPN scope of practice.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to support individualized care plans.
• Assist with discharge planning and provide patient/family education on treatments and recovery.
• Follow infection control practices and maintain accurate patient records.
