Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Medical Surgical Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The role involves 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) and provides basic nursing care under RN or physician supervision.

Eligible candidates can receive a sign-on bonus of $5,000. Requirements include AL LPN license, BLS, IV certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience; full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Alabama LPN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire.
• IV certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year experience in an applicable setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within scope of practice.
• Meet the communication needs of the patient and family.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with CPR, patient care, documentation updates, specimens, wound care and vital signs.

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Medical Surgical Unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Med Surg Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
• Meets the communication needs of the patient and family
• Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs

Qualifications
