Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The position is full-time, night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, with a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

You will provide basic nursing care under supervision, monitor vital signs, administer medications, read EKGs, and assist with patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama LPN license required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• IV certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days.
• Behavioral Violence Prevention training within six months.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
• Monitor vital signs and read EKGs.
• Administer medications under supervision of RN or physician.
• Assist with patient care and documentation.
• Ensure accurate charting and CPR as needed.

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center (Gadsden, AL), a member of Prime Healthcare. As an LPN/LVN in our Cardiac Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
• Meets the communication needs of the patient and family
• Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens and Vital Signs
• Read and monitor EKGs

Qualifications

• Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• IV certification within 30 days and maintain current
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current

• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) training within six (6) months of hire and maintain current

• One year experience in an applicable setting, preferred
