BayCare Health System in Florida is seeking a Medical Support Specialist for the Adult Treatment Center in New Port Richey. This PRN, hourly role involves assisting medical providers by obtaining vitals, supporting treatment planning, and coordinating patient services for the TMS program.

The position requires a High School diploma, BLS certification, and a Florida driver’s license. Prior medical office experience (1 year) is preferred, with benefits including health, dental, and vision

Medical Support Specialist - BH Responsibilities

• The Medical Support Specialist provides support for medical providers by obtaining vitals, assisting with treatment planning, assisting with patient assistance program applications, completing outcomes, patient messages and authorizations.
• The Medical Support Specialist conducts face to face visits with patients and receives medical and mental health records.
• This role may be responsible for screening the patient for TMS, obtaining prior authorization for treatment, providing daily treatments for TMS patients and all appropriate documentation and coordination of services for the TMS program.
• The Medical Support Specialist will work closely with the medical provider assessing patients for TMS services to coordinating services.
  

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• FL Driver's License
• Preferred
• Associate's in Healthcare/Psychology
