Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions in Aurora, CO seeks a Medical Support Assistant to support the Veteran community. The role features a 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule on weekdays at 1400 E. Jewell Ave, with opportunities to work with VA systems.

You will perform patient check-ins via ISS, respond to inquiries, update demographics, and coordinate with healthcare staff, while maintaining HIPAA standards. Requires HS diploma, 6 months of customer service, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook and MS Office Suite.
• High School education or GED equivalent.
• Oral and written proficiency in English.
• Basic computer skills and typing ability (≥50 WPM).
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Experience with VA software ( CPRS, VISTA, CTM, ISS, HSRM, PPMS ) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external customer requests in a courteous, professional manner.
• Answer the phone and follow proper telephone etiquette; gather information before transferring.
• Check-in of all patients via Integrated Scheduling Solution (ISS).
• Serve as Patient Relations Representative; listen to feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Manage and complete assigned work; maintain efficient workflow.
• Update patient demographics (phone, address, next of kin, emergency contact, insurance).
• Assist in opening/closing clinics daily; update no-shows within 24 hours; monitor faxes and mail per HIPAA.
