Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or higher required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• 9–12 months relevant experience working with medical/surgical supplies.
• Familiar with inventory control standards, record keeping, and documentation requirements.
• Fundamental knowledge of aseptic technique and/or HACCP certification.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, heavy workloads and with customers.
• Experience with medical supply preferred.
• Math and analytical skills to count inventory and calculate times.
• Commitment to compliance program and code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and assists patient care givers to maintain efficiency and ensures unit supply area PAR levels are maintained.
• Maintain cleanliness of and restocking of unit-based-stock area(s).
• Daily data entry, supply distribution and clerical tasks requiring department knowledge.
• Stocking supply carts per predetermined schedule; maintaining files and records.
• Inventory control of medical supplies, single-use instruments, implants, devices and related products.
• May operate a company motor vehicle occasionally.
• Occasional weekend/holiday/evening/night/overtime/on-call work.
