Job summary

The Caring Place Healthcare Group seeks a reliable Medical Supply Clerk to stock and manage medications and medical supplies at Western Hills Retirement, a Caring Place facility. You will ensure timely availability, coordinate orders with vendors, and support clinical teams for uninterrupted resident care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and strong organizational skills; CNA experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies to support facility operations.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, and invoicing.
• Communicate with nursing staff to ensure supply availability and needs are met.
• Prepare rooms for new admissions by ensuring all required supplies are in place prior to arrival.
• Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Assist with new staff orientation and ongoing training related to supply systems.
• Attend required in-service programs, workshops, and meetings.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including universal precautions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Role as a Medical Supply Clerk:

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CNA with long-term care experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic understanding of inventory or supply management preferred
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Must be in good general health and free of communicable diseases
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment or supplies exceeding 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
