Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. seeks an Inventory Clerk to support patient care by maintaining PAR levels, restocking, and data entry.

You will manage medical supplies, instruments, implants, and related products across multiple areas with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Under supervision you will use PCs and software, maintain records, replenish stock, and plan for future needs based on orders and forecasts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more in medical/surgical supply handling preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills expected.
• Familiar with inventory control standards and records.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and HACCP is a plus.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Math skills to count inventory and compute times.
• Commitment to compliance and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with care givers to maintain unit supply PAR levels.
• Keep unit supply areas clean and restocked per schedule.
• Perform routine data entry and clerical tasks.
• Stock carts, maintain files, interpret data, answer questions.
• Assist in managing inventories across Surgery, Cath-Lab, Out-Patient, Clinic and Bulk Stores.
• Operate PC and applicable software for inventory tasks.
• May perform receiving, packing, and distribution as needed.
• Occasional weekends, holidays, evenings, or on-call status.
