Job summary

SCP Health in Lafayette, LA seeks a Credentialing Specialist to direct practitioner onboarding, evaluate credentials for hospital placement, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with Medical Staff Administration, communicate issues, and drive timely onboarding with data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year credentialing or related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical office setting.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, bylaws, rules and regulations.
• Understanding of federal, state, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and facilitate clinical practitioner onboarding process.
• Evaluate prospective practitioner credentials for placement suitability at hospital client.
• Identify issues with clinical practitioners or clients and communicate timely to the team.
• Recommend actions regarding credentialing onboarding.
• Coordinate with Medical Staff Administration Specialist for collaborations with boards.
• Maintain data integrity and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Act as liaison between company, clinical practitioner, and client.
