Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers.
• Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows up as needed.
• Credentialing of fellows and setup of clinical students rotating through Nashville General Hospital.
• Develop and maintain rapport with Chief of Service, Medical Staff, and affiliates.
• Responsible for FPPE and OPPE data related to credentialing requirements.
• Maintain current copies of licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice, board certifications for providers.
• Set up and maintain provider information in credentialing databases and systems.
• Maintain appointment files and credentialing information.
• Provide privileging verifications.
• Support Medical Staff Committees by attending and hosting meetings, taking minutes, scheduling activities.
• Perform NPDB enrollments and queries.
• Coordinate events and activities hosted by Medical Staff Services.
• Backup for payer enrollment tasks if needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of provider information.
• Answer the telephone and take messages.
