Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital seeks a Credentialing Specialist to support the Medical Staff Office in Evanston, IL. This full-time, dayshift role handles credentialing, reappointments, and proctoring with physicians and hospital leadership.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or higher, CPCS preferred, and at least 3 years in Medical Staff Services or a similar setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written communication are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience in Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies.
• Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Supports assigned Medical Staff Departments as directed by the Director/Manager.
