Job summary

Language Fundamentals is seeking a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist in Syracuse to support a clinically focused organization. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based speech therapy and maintain high standards of patient care.

Applicants must be CCC-SLPs with current licensure, strong communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to therapy. Per diem hours offer flexible scheduling within a supportive network of clinicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology (SLP) therapy program.
• Current State licensure as a CCC-SLP.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the team of PT/OT, nurses, physicians & dieticians to meet residents' needs.
• Providing short-term rehabilitation aimed at functional return home.
• Providing restorative therapy to improve quality of life for long-term residents.
• Interacting with families and nursing staff on after-care programs.
• Observing on-site FEES testing for swallowing disorders.

• Interacting with families and nursing staff on patients’ after-care programs
• Treating under the Patient Driven Payment Model Reimbursement System

Observing in the administration of on-site FEES testing for patients with swallowing disorders

Per Diem positions are only available to CCC-SLPs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology (SLP) therapy program
• Current State licensure as a CCC-SLP
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Goal oriented approach with ability to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to utilize technology to perform electronic documentation
