Job summary

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Southeast Louisiana is seeking a Medical Specialist for the Outpatient Clinic. The incumbent will deliver timely, accurate patient care and coordinate with physicians to support diagnostic testing, treatment planning, discharge planning, and referrals.

Candidates must have two years of experience or training in patient care or medical records. Appointment type is Probational, with varying work hours set by the manager and a minimum pay of $15.30 per hour

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients for routine examinations to the patient clinic rooms while demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Acquires medical histories, vital signs, weight, pulse, blood pressure, respiration, temperature, height, current medication and allergies.
• Assist practitioners to deliver health care services, treatments, examinations, and procedures for patients with specialized needs in the outpatient setting.
• Assist with emergency housekeeping and cleaning duties such as mopping up spills, emptying trash and sterilization of equipment. Prepares and cleans room and equipment before and after examinations.

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. This Medical Specialist position is located within the Outpatient Clinic. The incumbent will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and quality healthcare, providing wide-ranging patient care through various channels including diagnostic testing, treatment planning, discharge planning, case management, referrals, etc.

Work Schedule: Work hours vary and will be set by Manager.

Compensation: This position has a minimum hourly pay of $15.30 and is eligible for shift differential pay of up to $0.95 per hour.
