Expected pay for this position is $31.49 - $37.05/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Medical Social Worker is responsible for identifying socioeconomic and emotional factors that exist which are, or can be, an impediment to the effective treatment of the patientâ€s medical condition or rate of recovery. This individual demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Master’s Degree in Social Work

Licensure/Certifications:

Current state license to practice

CPR certification prior to start (American Heart Association certification)

Valid driver’s license

Other:

Working knowledge of human behavior/development and theories of social work process

Proficient with electronic documentation.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

1 year as Social Worker in home health care experience
