Job summary

Riverside Simulation Training Lab in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking a Simulation Technician to support all simulation operations, including running, maintenance, and repair of equipment, simulators, and related computers. The role collaborates with the Medical Director and Manager to deliver high-quality simulation experiences for customers.

The candidate will have at least an Associate degree or technology diploma, prefer a Bachelor's in technology, and possess one year of simulation

Associates Degree, Technology or health related field (Required) or Program Graduate, Technology field diploma (Required)
Bachelor's Degree, Technology or related field (Preferred)
CHSOS certification within 3 years (Required)

Responsibilities

Operate and Maintain Simulation Equipment: Ensure all equipment is set up for training sessions, run scenarios, and perform preventative maintenance.
Create Realistic Learning Environments: Assist with simulator preparation, equipment setup, use of standardized patients, and moulage to create realistic training scenarios.
Provide Technical Support and Training: Offer technical assistance and training to staff on the use of simulation equipment and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends
Manage Inventory and Coordination: Obtain, organize, and maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and equipment, coordinate schedule requests, and manage equipment needs for the simulation lab.
Assist with Administrative and Data Tasks: Help with data collection, record-keeping, policy development, and special projects, ensuring confidentiality and supporting evaluation standards
Other duties as assigned
