Job summary

Ann's Choice by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) for full-time and PRN roles. The position involves patrolling the gated retirement community, responding to emergencies, and enforcing regulations to ensure resident safety and peace of mind.

The ideal candidate will have EMR/EMT experience, CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification; EMR preferred and a requirement to obtain EMR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care using basic interventions.
• Document incidents with thorough and detailed reports in the online system.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Follow up on reports of theft, vandalism or missing items.

Hiring for: Full Time and PRN positions.

Compensation: starting at $22.00/hr, will commensurate with experience.

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service


• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations


• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security


• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions


• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity


• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.


• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old


• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license


• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred


• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness


• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification


• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
