Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences in Newark, NJ seeks a Medical Services Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare clinic. The role requires hands-on clinical duties including phlebotomy, vital signs, injections, specimen handling, and patient safety with strict confidentiality.

The MSA will work with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate charting, and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary Medical Assisting program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Current certification/registration through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or another recognized certifying organization.
• Minimum 1 year of related medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, height, and weight.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect, label, document, and transport patient specimens.
• Administer injections and vaccinations as permitted by state regulations.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Enter clinical and patient information into electronic systems and databases.
• Provide patients with health information and educational materials as directed.
