Job summary

TEKsystems in New Haven, CT is seeking a Clinical Secretary to provide comprehensive scheduling and high-level administrative support in a clinical setting. You will manage EPIC scheduling, check patients in/out, coordinate appointments, and handle high-volume calls and faxes with professionalism.

SHIFT: Hrs may vary between 8:00a - 4:30 or 8:30a 5:00p weekly, 37.5hrs per week

One of our clients, a leading health system in the greater New Haven area, is hiring a Clinical Secretary. The Clinical Secretary provides comprehensive clinical scheduling and high-level administrative and secretarial support. This includes managing a high volume of incoming calls and faxes, assessing the nature and urgency of inquiries, and directing callers as appropriate. The role involves evaluating scheduling requests within a team-based structure, ensuring prompt and courteous service to patients and referring providers using the EPIC scheduling system. Duties also include checking patients in and out, managing appointments, providing information to patients and visitors, and maintaining accurate patient records. Flexibility in work hours and the ability to provide cross-coverage in various clinical areas are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
