Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a detail-driven Medical Scribe for the Riverside location. This PRN role supports providers by documenting patient visits in real time and entering history, exams, results, treatment plans, and prescriptions into the EHR.

You will assist with labs, radiology reports, and orders, interact professionally with patients and staff, and maintain HIPAA standards in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant/Scribe program or 1 year orthopedic scribe experience.
• CNA, Pre-Med students or equivalent healthcare certification are encouraged to apply.
• 2 years of healthcare or back-office experience (orthopedics a plus!)
• Tech-savvy, detail-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Accurately chart patient encounters: history, exams, diagnostics, labs, treatment plans, prescriptions, and discharge instructions.
• Interact professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and HOPCo policies.
• Support patient care and care coordination as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring other scribes and staff.
• Demonstrate ongoing competency and commitment to excellence.

GENERAL SUMMARY
