Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists in St. Augustine, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe for a full-time role. You will document patient visits in real time and enter diagnoses, exams, results, treatment plans, and prescriptions into the EHR to support providers.

In this fast-paced orthopedic clinic, you will assist with labs and radiology reports while maintaining HIPAA standards and coordinating care with the team. Prior scribe experience and healthcare certification are valued.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant/Scribe program or 1 year orthopedic scribe experience
• CNA, Pre-Med students or equivalent healthcare certification are encouraged to apply
• 2 years of healthcare or back-office experience (orthopedics a plus)
• Tech-savvy, detail-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced clinic

• Enter history, exams, results, treatment plans & prescriptions into the EHR

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Accurately chart patient encounters: history, exams, diagnostics, labs, treatment plans, prescriptions, and discharge instructions.
• Interact professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and HOPCo policies.
• Support patient care and care coordination as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring other scribes and staff.
• Demonstrate ongoing competency and commitment to excellence.

Requirements
