Job summary

OrthoVirginia is inviting motivated candidates to join as Medical Scribes. You will document patient encounters in real time within the EMR, capture histories, exam findings, and treatment plans, and enter orders and referrals to support smooth clinic operations.

You will work closely with orthopedic physicians, gaining hands-on experience in clinical workflows, medical terminology, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or enrollment in healthcare, science, or related field.
• Strong typing, computer skills, and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Exposure to healthcare environment is a plus; Epic EMR experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time in the EMR.
• Capture histories, exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Enter provider-directed orders, referrals, imaging, therapies, and related services.
• Support efficient clinic operations and workflows.
• Collaborate with providers and administrative staff; uphold patient confidentiality.
