Job summary

Sun River Health in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a full-time Medical Scribe to document encounters in the EMR (eClinical Works) under physician guidance. You will communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians, and ensure accurate, timely charting of visits and tests.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and offers an hourly wage with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible external applicants, reflective of our mission to provide care for underserved communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience documenting medical encounters is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients and healthcare staff clearly.

Responsibilities

• Document medical visits and procedures in the Electronic Medical Record (eClinical Works) in real time.
• Proofread and edit physician documents for accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in handling patient information.
• Coordinate communications with patients, pharmacies, and other physicians under physician guidance.
• Assist with basic patient care setup and support as directed by physicians.
