Job summary

Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Medical Scribe to join our team. You will accompany physicians into examination rooms to transcribe history and physicals and accurately document encounters with patients and the physician present.

Responsibilities include listing diagnoses and symptoms, documenting follow-up instructions and prescriptions, transcribing orders for labs/radiology/medications, and recording procedures performed by the physician.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Recognition of physical exam process and ability to record exam details.
• Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications.

Responsibilities

• Accompany physician into the patient examination room to transcribe history and physical exam and document the physician’s encounter.
• List all diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
• Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.
• Document procedures performed by the physician.
