Job summary

The role focuses on accurate charting in the electronic health record, transcription of histories and procedures, and coordination with nursing and front office staff. Indian preference applies; vaccination and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Indian preference applies.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinician with documentation of patient charts during visits.
• Transcribe histories and physicals as provided by patient and clinician.
• Document procedures performed and print consent forms for procedures.
• Utilize EHR templates to ensure accurate, complete encounters and data for reports.
• Transcribe referrals and coordinate with referrals to correct specialty.
• Generate notes, excusal letters, and other clinician-required documents.
• Schedule patients for future visits and assist with insurance lookups.
• Support front staff and aid in management of quality improvement measures.
• Perform clerical duties to improve clinic workflow and ensure chart compliance.
