Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with clinical documentation, enabling focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Scribes observe in the exam room, document encounters, and assist with next steps as part of the care team.

As a Clinic Informatics Specialist, you’ll master ICD-10/CPT coding and documentation, helping close care gaps within a value-based care model.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience including shadowing and/or volunteering.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters (~80%).
• Clinical documentation improvement (~10%).
• Administrative support for the provider and care team (~10%).
• Other duties as assigned.
