Team Overview:

Our Women's Health Department provides compassionate and comprehensive care across all stages of life. We specialize in gynecology, obstetrics, reproductive health, and menopause management, focusing on preventive health, specialized treatments, and patient education. With a patient-centered approach and collaborative care model, we prioritize women's well-being through advanced medical practices and supportive services.

Work Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday between 7:45 am - 5 pm, Fridays 7:45 am - 3/5pm, 1 Sunday a month 9 am - 5 pm

Position Overview:

  • Accurate Documentation of Physician Encounters: Accompany physicians into patient examination rooms to transcribe medical histories and physical exams accurately. Ensure meticulous recording of all interactions in the electronic medical record. (EMR)
  • Accurate Recording of Diagnoses, Symptoms, and Instructions: List all diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions precisely as dictated by the physician. Maintain clarity and completeness in patient records within the EMR.
  • Transcription of Patient Orders: Transcribe all patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc., ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Facilitate seamless communication of physician directives across healthcare teams.
  • Documentation of Procedures and Encounters: Accurately document all procedures performed by physicians in the EMR (eClinicalWorks) in a timely manner. Ensure comprehensive and detailed records of patient care activities.
  • Documentation of Work Processes: Document work processes as required, adhering to organizational protocols and regulatory standards. Maintain thorough records to support efficient operational workflows.
  • Patient Vital Signs and Phlebotomy: Take vital signs appropriately and perform phlebotomy when necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Support clinical assessments with accurate and timely data collection.
  • Establishing Effective Working Relationships: Foster effective working relationships with physicians, healthcare staff, and management. Collaborate seamlessly to support patient care and organizational goals.
  • Recognition and Recording of Physical Exam Details: Demonstrate proficiency in recognizing the physical exam process and recording detailed examination findings. Support clinical decision-making with precise documentation of exam results.
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Evaluate and assess individual patient needs comprehensively, determining medical urgency as appropriate. Implement physician orders and interventions to facilitate optimal patient care outcomes.
  • Continuous Learning and Skill Development:Demonstrate clinical knowledge, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach to learning new skills. Stay updated with medical advancements and best practices to enhance patient care delivery.
  • Patient Advocacy and Confidentiality: Serve as a patient advocate, prioritizing confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements at all times. Maintain trust and respect patient privacy throughout all interactions and documentation processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months+ experience as a Medical Scribe and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • $22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
