Job summary

BioLife in Latham, NY is seeking a Part-Time Plasma Donor Screener to support plasma center operations. You will perform phlebotomy, screen donors, and ensure donor safety.

Shifts are typically 4–6 hours per day, 3+ days per week, with scheduling confirmed during interviews. You will greet donors, record vitals, use the Donor Information System, and assist with donor compensation while maintaining accurate records and following approved procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders, and reach below knees.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. routinely and up to 32 lbs. occasionally; rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Proficiency in handling potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens; 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear.
  • At least 1 year of customer or patient-facing experience is helpful.

BioLife Part‑Time Plasma Donor Screener

We are dedicated to creating meaningful part‑time opportunities for our team. This role is truly part‑time, with most shifts lasting between 4 to 6 hours a day, 3+ days per week. Your schedule will be confirmed early in the interview process and any changes will be communicated in advance.

About the Role

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. As a plasma donor screener, you will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.

Responsibilities
