Job summary

Amgen’s MSL role in NMOSD & gMG-Rare Disease covers MD, DE, DC, and VA with a focus on delivering scientific information, building relationships with clinical partners, and supporting strategic territory plans.

The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to compliance standards, and ongoing training to advance Amgen’s mission of serving patients. Flexible work models are available where possible.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/DO or PharmD or equivalent doctoral degree required.
• Three or more years clinical practice or medical affairs experience preferred.
• Two years of proven experience in scientific or medical affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.

Responsibilities

• Support MSL territory heads in developing local R&D tactics.
• Communicate accurate, valued information regarding Amgen science to medical community.
• Educate payers, providers, and advocates on clinical value and outcomes.
• Respond to unsolicited inquiries in compliance with MSL standards.
• Provide field observations and insights to internal teams and leadership.
• Implement scientific engagement plans aligned with annual MSL goals.
• Develop local operating plans consistent with scientific engagement strategy.
• Support speaker training and ensure updates on new data.
• Liaise with investigators for non-sponsored clinical research.
