Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to engage with medical and scientific leaders, provide compliant scientific information, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes translating complex data into clinical practice and supporting strategic Medical Affairs initiatives.

The position requires an advanced scientific degree and 3+ years of MSL experience, with oncology and infectious disease/immune-related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• An advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA)
• 3+ years industry experience as a Medical Science Liaison
• Oncology disease experience is highly preferred
• Infectious Disease, Immunology, or Rare Disease Experience preferred
• Strong scientific and clinical acumen
• Ability to translate complex data into clinical practice
• Ability to travel 60% (including overnight travel) and have a valid driver’s license
• Drive for self-development, collaboration, and action-oriented work ethic

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Opinion Leaders/HCPs.
• Medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing an understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest for our client
• Integrate scientific data into real life practice to meet customer/audience needs
• Participate in the development of a customer-centric tactical engagement plan to support Medical Affair’s strategies
• Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature
• Collaborate with field based medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights
• Leverage knowledge of standards of care and company/investigator sponsored clinical trials and competitor landscape to facilitate external-internal research communication
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Health Care Providers (HCPs)/investigators/health care systems/academic medical centers and treatment team members integrating scientific data including real world evidence in to real life practice to meet customer needs
