Position Title: Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Southeast

Position summary:

Invivyd seeks a passionate, field-based therapeutic expert supporting a novel monoclonal antibody therapy in the battle against SARS-CoV-2. The MSL position allows for scientific exchange across traditional and non-traditional medical leaders, as well as integral scientific partnership with formulary health systems. The MSL will work collaboratively to develop, align, and implement thought leader strategies, plans, and communications, ensuring that information shared is timely, accurate, and fair-balanced. The MSL will provide scientific support for pre-clinical and clinical research, as well as other cross-functional related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as a field-based medical expert supporting compliant scientific exchange aligned with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide accurate and clear scientific information in a peer-to-peer setting, communicating complex science and product information to multiple levels of partners within the medical and health system/payer communities
  • Facilitate strategic partnerships with scientific experts and professional associates and act as point of contact while expanding research, advisory and educational partnership opportunities
  • Align with MSL/medical affairs leadership to develop innovative and nontraditional field medical strategies and tactics in support of Invivyd products and pipeline
  • Serve as a conduit in establishing Invivyd as leader in the monoclonal antibody infectious disease space
  • Provide scientific support for publications and presentations
  • Provide field observations and scientific insights to internal stakeholders and Medical Affairs leadership
  • Provide effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences, tailoring presentations to meet specific audience needs
  • Support advisory boards, congresses and professional association meetings as directed
  • Serve as an internal resource of clinical and scientific information, including training commercial field teams as appropriate
  • Support pre-clinical and clinical research trial needs, as directed
  • Manage strategic and tactical KOL engagement and health systems/payer plans,
  • Provide field support for on-going clinical trials and assist in identifying new research site
  • Hold self accountable for performance
  • Model openness and innovation through words, actions, and decisions
  • Approach daily activities and tasks with scientific integrity, collaboration, and flexibility

Requirements:

  • Doctorate Level Degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O.)
  • a minimum of 5 years of MSL or field medical affairs experience preferred
  • Extensive scientific and/or clinical experience in Infectious Disease, Rare Disease or Immunology preferred
  • Strong scientific acumen
  • New product launch experience preferred
  • Ability to identify unmet medical, educational, and research needs at a local, regional, and national level in the medical community
  • Ability to complete required training, documentation, expense reporting, and other administrative tasks
  • Must conduct business activities in accordance with corporate policy and state/federal law with dedicated commitment to the fulfillment of all applicable SOPs, and regulations for compliance and quality
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex information to colleagues and health care decision makers
  • Ability to assess situations to prioritize the importance, urgency and risks, and present leadership with recommendations
  • Ability to flexibly adapt to changing business needs
  • Self-starter and team player with a strong results orientation
  • Organized, able to meet timelines in fast-paced environment with strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Excellent transferrable presentation, communication, and project management skills across a variety of interaction mediums including in person, digital, email, phone, etc. Willingness and ability to travel 50-70% including overnight stays
