About the role: The MSL is an integral member of the medical affairs team. In this field-based role, you will contribute to Takeda's mission by supporting the development and life-cycle management of Takeda Oncology medicines. The key objective of the MSL role is to engage scientifically with key opinion leaders in their assigned geography via accurate, scientific, and non-promotional information exchange.

This territory will be responsible for covering NY, NJ & PA. The preferred location for the successful candidate to reside would be the Philadelphia or New York metro area.

How you will contribute
  1. Establish relationships and engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions around emerging data, treatment guidelines, molecular pathways, and mechanisms of action of Takeda Oncology products, including clinical outcomes and research opportunities.
  2. Formulate and update a specific territory engagement plan aligned with US Field Medical priorities and the medical strategy for assigned compounds/disease areas.
  3. Execute the scientific engagement plan according to MSL priorities.
  4. Collect medical insights from scientific exchanges with HCPs and the medical community, and ensure timely documentation.
  5. Respond to unsolicited inquiries in accordance with field medical SOPs.
  6. Support Takeda Oncology sponsored research and assist in identifying, evaluating, and screening qualified research sites.
  7. Participate in executing USMAO strategy at medical conferences, potentially co-leading a medical conference.
  8. Identify potential sites for future pipeline studies.
  9. Present accurate, balanced scientific information in various settings, including 1:1 interactions and medical meetings.
  10. Complete all required training, documentation, expense reporting, and administrative tasks.
  11. Daily entry to hospitals and medical facilities, adhering to credentialing policies.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
  1. Advanced scientific or healthcare degree required; doctoral degree preferred (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, NP, DMP/ARNP).
  2. Experience in Oncology, preferably Onco Hematology.
  3. At least 2 years of healthcare, clinical, or related experience.
  4. Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
  5. Proficiency in technical and scientific language for communication with KOLs and internal stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  7. Ability to travel 50-60% and weekends when necessary.
  8. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Additional Information

Location: Philadelphia, PA or New York, NY

U.S. Base Salary Range: $137,000 - $215,270
