Community Options, Inc. is seeking a Medical Coordinator in Pittsburgh, PA. The role plans, tracks, and ensures timely medical care for clients, including scheduling annual, follow-up, and emergency appointments with medical staff and program leadership.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, based on experience. Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred; valid driver's license; and ability to maintain accurate records and professional communication.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are seeking aMedical Coordinator in Pittsburgh, PA!The Medical Coordinator will plan, track, monitor and ensure that all clients’ needs are being met withinappropriate time frames. Primary responsibilities include the scheduling of all annual, follow-up, andemergency medical appointments. These include communicating with medical professional staff,program specialists, supervisors and program directors.

Starting pay is: $20.00 an hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Schedule all client medical appointments to state mandated licensing regulations
• Observe and monitor the client’s status through paperwork and follow-up appointments
• Observe and track clients' physical care including, but not limited to annual and emergency appointments
• Provide accurate, timely, and consistent documentation of client medical appointments in theappropriate records
• Attend all pertinent medical appointments that need to be addressed more clearly and precise toachieve the best results for the individual
• Communicate with supervisors, co-workers and medical professionals’ regarding clients’ status
• Cooperate with audits, inspections, and investigations
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned

• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations

Working Conditions

• May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
• Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be required
• May be required to transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles
• May be required to lift or move 25+ pounds
• May assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory individuals
• May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases
