Job summary

Together Women's Health is seeking a full-time Medical Scheduler to join The Women's Imaging Center in Denver/Cherry Creek. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional patient experience by scheduling MRIs, mammograms, ultrasounds and DEXAs, while ensuring orders from referring physicians are fulfilled accurately.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with EHR (Athena or Epic), and the ability to manage a high-volume schedule between 70–100 appointments per day

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of radiology terminology (women’s radiology preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
• Must have college degree from accredited university or college
• Experience with EHR systems Athena or Epic preferred

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments ranging from Breast and Body MRIs, Screening Mammograms, Breast and Body Ultrasounds, DEXAs
• Attend incoming referrals/orders and/or fax as needed
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Check voicemail and return messages
• Answer live calls, do cold calls, and transfer calls
• Sort and distribute incoming faxes
• Enter patient information accurately into the EHR system
• Schedule between 70-100 appointments/day

Overview

The Women's Imaging Center, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking to add a full-time Medical Scheduler to our team in Denver/Cherry Creek!

The Medical Scheduler embraces a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction. This role ensures each patients' encounter is professional, warm, and caring while meeting a patient's individual needs while ensuring we are also meeting the referring physician's orders.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Scheduling appointments ranging from Breast and Body MRIs, Screening Mammograms, Breast and Body Ultrasounds, DEXAs, etc
• Attend incoming referrals/orders and/or fax as needed (mammograms, ultrasounds, MRIs, etc.)
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Check voicemail and return messages
• Answer live calls, do cold calls, and transfer calls
• Sort and distribute incoming faxes
• Ensures that all medical appointments, special instructions and patient information is accurately entered into the EHR system
• Check voice mail and return messages
• Schedule between 70-100 appointments/day/scheduler

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of radiology terminology is necessary (preference given to women’s radiology or women’s health)
• Excellent communication skills, and phone etiquette
• Professionalism
• Must have experience with EHR system Athena or Epic (Athena experience preferred)
• Computer/Tech and EHR savvy required
• Must be able to spell
• Ability to maintain attention and accuracy and multitask in a busy environment
• Accurate and fast typing skills
• Effective listening skills
