Job summary

Koch Foods Inc. is seeking a dedicated Safety & First Aid Coordinator at the Chattanooga facility to provide first aid, treat work-related injuries, and ensure daily safety compliance.

In this role you will conduct drug testing, schedule hearing tests, maintain confidential medical records, lead monthly safety meetings, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced production environment. EMT license and CPR/First Aid certification are required; OSHA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• EMT license is required.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification is required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat all work-related injuries.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Maintain confidential medical records accurately.
• Conduct drug testing for post-offer employment and scheduling hearing tests; provide random screening as needed.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings.
• All other relevant duties to the job.

• With the utmost confidentiality, complete and maintain medical records.
  


• Conduct drug testing for post-offer employment testing, schedule hearing tests, and provide random screening as needed.
  


• Conduct monthly safety meetings.
  


• All other relevant duties to the job.

Requirements

• EMT LICENSE REQUIRED


• CPR and Basic First Aid Certified required.

• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.


• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.


• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.


• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.


• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).


• Expose to wet and cold environment.


• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
