Un poste de Technicien des Dossiers Médicaux (Coder) Auditor est ouvert au sein du Service de Gestion de l'Information de Santé au Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center. This position is located in the Health Information Management (HIM) Service at the Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center. MRTs (Coder) are skilled in classifying medical data from patient health records in hospital settings, physician offices, group practices, multi-specialty clinics, and specialty centers. These coding practitioners analyze and abstract patients' health records and assign alpha-numeric codes for diagnoses and procedures.

Qualifications
Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
Basic Requirements:
May qualify under the Grandfathering Provision if applicable.
Grade Determinations:
GS-9 Level: One year of creditable experience equivalent to the MRT (Coder) journey level, with mastery level certification such as CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, COC, or CIC.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS coding systems; ability to research and resolve complex coding questions; review coded data for adherence to standards; present audit results; and interpersonal skills for conflict resolution.

Physical Requirements: Mostly sedentary work, involving sitting, concentration, some walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and occasional walking to meetings.
