Job summary

Advantmed is hiring enthusiastic Medical Records Technicians in the United States, including Puerto Rico, San Juan. This is a great entry point into healthcare technology.

Technicians will visit medical facilities to scan patient records, with company-issued laptops and portable scanners provided. Responsibilities include maintaining patient record systems, collecting and organizing data, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record.
• Own car and active insurance in name.
• Internet access at home.
• Available 08:00–17:00 in local time zones.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• HIPAA/confidentiality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a record system for patient information and gathering documents.
• Use electronic systems to collect, organize, and manage data.
• Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, and complete.
• Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically.
• File paperwork/reports quickly and accurately.
• Ensure HIPAA standards are met.
• Follow confidentiality guidelines and procedures.
• Interact with medical staff and providers.
• Travel to facilities with equipment as needed.
