Responsibilities

• Review medical records for completeness and accuracy and refer issues for correction.
• Prepare statistical, case and other types of reports.
• Gather information for admissions and discharges and ensure proper coding.
• Abstract charts and respond to requests for information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist in developing medical records policies and ensure compliance with laws and rules.
