The North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections (NCDAC) seeks a Medical Records Assistant for Lumberton Correctional in Lumberton, NC. The role focuses on reviewing and organizing medical information from the electronic health record for the Medical Records team.

Responsibilities include archiving confidential offender records, processing release-of-information requests, and maintaining statistical logs. Candidates should ensure accurate labeling and secure storage in a warehouse setting.

Formación

• Documented detailed experience performing administrative functions in an office setting.
• Demonstrated ability to operate office equipment/computers.
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining confidential information.
• Documented experience with Medical Records/Medical Records system.
• Documented OPUS and Electronic Health records experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Review and collect medical information directly from the electronic health record and organize for Medical Records team.
• Archive and retrieve confidential medical records of offenders no longer in the correctional system.
• Retrieve records for release of information purposes and maintain logs of records activities.
• Process medical & mental health records and psychological testing data; discharge records into the computer system.
• Label and store records/boxes in a warehouse setting; assist in a medical records office as needed.
