Job summary

Talentify seeks a Medical Records Specialist in Savannah, GA to prepare daily charts for patients seen at the Advanced Thoracic Oncology Center. You will gather medical history, imaging, and lab data to ensure chart readiness for clinician review.

Work closely with providers and the clinical team to maintain data integrity, ensure HIPAA-compliant release of information, and perform clerical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Assembles patient health information for clinic visits and ensures accuracy.
• Verifies documents completed and properly identified in charts.
• Maintains electronic or paper chart in proper chronological order.
• Releases protected health information compliant with HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assembles patient health information for each clinic visit, including history, exams, X-ray reports, labs, diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Verifies documents are completed accurately, indexed correctly and signed.
• Ensures information is located in the chart for provider review and signature.
• Retrieves imaging and communicates availability to physicians.
• Prepares and routes overnight oximetry, home sleep study, and CPAP data for review.
• Maintains timely access to records and organizes storage for clinical staff.
