Job summary

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in Chandler, AZ is seeking a motivated Health Information Clerk to join the Health Information Department. You will document and manage patient health records, follow HIPAA rules, and handle record requests.

Responsibilities include scanning documents, entering demographics into EMR, performing quality checks, processing incoming faxes, and supporting Providers as needed. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in medical records and familiarity with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA rules is preferred.
• Experience with health information practices and record-keeping is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Scans documents and enters into patient charts accurately.
• Enters demographic and contact information into EMR.
• Maintains upcoming appointments and logs scanned charts.
• Performs quality checks on scanned charts and logs issues.
• Handles incoming faxes and routes appropriately.
• Completes medical record requests in a timely manner.
