Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical and administrative procedures, rules, policies, general practices, and operations.
• Knowledge of procedures involved in correcting and adjusting information in a medical/clinical automated system.
• Experience with processing incoming materials for storage and pulling materials from inventory.
• Familiarity with clinical supply automation systems and office/clinical software to manage data.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve materials upon authorization request and log tracking in the inventory system.
• Facilitate the return of paraffin blocks to contributors.
• Pull materials from files and record transfers in the tracking system.
• Load and unload shipments; process bulk shipments for accessioning.
• Package and refresh formalin fixed tissues and monitor shelves for leaks.
• Shift materials within storage facilities to maximize space utilization.
• Assist in periodic audits to identify lost or misplaced materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Assist professional staff in processing or locating materials as needed.
